HI all how do I disable the stupied scanddisk sreen that comes up if windows does not shut down right?

edit c:\msdos.sys

insert a line with all the other values that reads:

AutoScan=0

(1 is default, 0 turns it off, 2 will automatically scan without prompting you)

Is that such a good idea to turn that off? We all know we don't mean to "improperly shutdown Windows" but don't you think its a good idea to scan the disk for errors everytime it happens? Just wondering...

I personally set it to 2, maybe I should have recommended that in the first post At least that'll continue the check, but get rid of that 20 second delay.
