Ordered an eaton posi; Now have some ?'s

I ordered an Eaton posi. locker & i was wondering if i need to replace any bearings. I didn't get the bearings but the guy from Reider racing said i can call back and order other things if necessary. What do u pros think? Please feel free to chime in.

You should replace the bearing's I don't think you can get the old one's off without damaging them anyway

Bearings are like condoms, use it once & then replace with new

I've found Timken bearings to last the longest, don't skimp on bearing quality, rear end parts aren't cheap

I had my Eaton posi installed and they replaced the bearings because to take them out they get fdd up. love being able to get sideways with my L. Later Alex

Ok guys i ordered the bearnings. Now is there any other tricks i need to know when installing the eaton? Please chime in. I guess the shims and other factory stuff will be fine right? Thats what i have heard; just wondering. Thanks.

Hey Jimmy! I read your post and I suggest that you stop in the DeLValLo Club and post . These guy , Justin (94svt437) and Larry (LW93RCode) will give you some information They installed 2 eaton units and have lessons learned to save you time and money. Tell them Dennis sent you, they are great guys and will lend any information they can
