oil pressure

Well I could tell you R or N or L, and it really wouldn't matter, because with the stock gauge it's all relative. There really isn't one right or wrong pressure, just look for a sudden drop.. I'm planning on getting real gauges here pretty quick, because they've saved a motor for me before..

I noticed NO oil pressure on my mustang before any damage to the motor, and found out I twisted an oil pump drive shaft.. Thank god for the 2 5/8 Phantom autometer gauge, because the stock one wouldn't have helped me...

On my Phantom gauge I read a little over 60 psi when I first start it up (when cold). After the motor's all warmed up and been driving a while then at idle I sit around 23-25psi and when driving I see around 43psi or so. So nice to have a gauge that actually works. That's with Valvoline 10W30 non-synthetic. Coming up on 112,000 miles.
