i took one of the discharge tubes off my blower and found oil in it. i dont think this is normal. i guess an internal seal is leaking. has anyone else ever experienced this with a vortech? im gonna call them soon. any experiences shared would be appreciated. thanks paul d.

How much oil are you talking about. I found a bit of oil in my tubes once, but have taken them apart a few times since and haven't seen any. I sure hope its not a seal.

well theres enough to make a couple of drips. i dont have the engine breather hooked to the blower inlet either. i guess ill be sendin this thing back. man im BENT!!. this thing is only 2 monthe old and i never drive the truck. the blower probably has 50mi on it!

That's somewhat common. I had a 84 mustang GT. 4 cylinder turbo. Even after I put a new turbo on it, it still blew some oil. Some is a few drops in the discharge tube.

well on turbo setups i know its common. the powerstrokes that come into the shop have alot of oil in the turbo ductwork. ford says its normal. but i dont think its too normal for a brand new vortech. well see. hopefully the turnaround is quick. im having the truck dynoed in a few weeks.:(
