O/D use on road course

To the guys who have driven their Lightnings on road courses, do you turn overdrive off and click it back on on a straight? Or just leave it on the whole time? Just trying to figure out what I'm going to be doing in a couple weeks. ;)

Chip it!

I had Sal program a road course setting on my chip. It prevents shifts into overdrive until after 80 mph. On the courses I do, that means I spend almost all of my time in 3rd, with downshifts to 2 coming out of corners and it only hits 4th when absolutely required on the straight.

O.D. off and let it shift unless you are running over 85. With a little work with the brake and gas peddles, you can set up a gear in the turns. HAVE FUN

SE-R,

I tried both what Spike mentioned (manual adjustment) as well as ukeepup suggestion of using the pedals to set up the gear.

As wishy-washy as this sounds, I think it would depend on the track configuration (ie: more long fast sections vs. shorter and tighter ones)

In the end, I left it off in the slower sections and flicked it back on once I hit the straight.
