Hey guys, My Dad has a 99 that I'm trying to get him convinced that these tires will hook better than the 26" tall ET streets that are on it!

What do you guys think? Does anyone have any new times and 60's with the DR's???

He doesn't want to grind on the calipers and go with 15's, I already tried that route as well!

On those ET streets the truck went 12.96 @ 104mph
Mods:
-SHM 2lb blower pully
-SHM filter system
-Superchips (tuned by Superchips)
-Flowmaster mufflers

The truck now has:
-SHM 2lb blower pully
-JDM 90mm MAF and cone filter
-JDM Electric Fan kit
-Superchips by JDM

Do you think the truck with the new mods, if it had some better tires would go low 12's??

Let me know on the tire situation! Or has anyone herd of any other DOT stickies that are taller and in 16' ???

Thanks guys!

Thanks for the reply, I just can't get the ET Streets to hook on the dang thing! I even installed cal tracs and I don't know if I have to much preload or not enough! They are on the bottom setting with about 7 turns in them! :(

lil'Zeus,

I would recomend using the new Hoosier 28" slicks for the 16" rims. I set my caltracs at 2 turns of preload and get consistant 1.68 60's. The caltracs work great, but they annoy the hell out of me

Man, thats the tire I would like to get, but are they out yet???? If so, my money is in the mail to someone! Does summint or Jegs have them in stock yet????

I think I'll call and double check!

Thanks man......

Well, I found out that Hoosier is only going to make 200 pairs and see if the tire size takes off! It will be alimited run deal from what I understand! I called Summit and they had no idea what I was talking about, so I talked to the hoosier dealer in town, and I got a pair for $5 over cost per tire, so needless to say I scored pretty good! I can't wait to try em out! LOL :D

Thanks guys, for all your comments!
