nitrous and blower combo

Finally Satisfied
Does anybody run a blower and nitrous too?with a stock block.I was just wondering.I have a powerdyne with reduction pullies, putting close to 10 pounds. Can i put nitrous on too?Not a big shot,75 to 100 maybe.I would like to use the nitrous only for racing. Can it be done?

You sure can, but I wouldn't recommend it. Stock bottom end would really need to be stouter, and tuning issues would be another thing. I would love to keep pumping more power but there is a limit.

y'all need to get ahold of Marcus, he was running a small shot on the PowerDyne, and it got him into the 11's

Yea a 100 shot is not to big but if thats on top of a blower it is ALOT!
I did it for awhile just fine and didnt have timing way up and used good race fuel etc...
Im thinking of doing it with my new combo to.

I don't plan on doin this, but if I did I would use:
wet plate system, no bigger than 50hp, heater, purge
forged low comp pistons
better rods
ARP bolts on everything
EEC tuner and someone that knows how to tune to perfection
big injectors
fuel pressure cut off
inline pump
race gas
and a trailer to get it home! lol!

you could still do it, til you get greedy.
or lean!

I'm not recommending this to anyone. But I run a T-trim with about 8 lbs. of boost with good heads & ported upper. It's pullied for 12-13 on a stock Ltng. I run a 50 shot wet and my timing at 14 degrees with no boost retardant. I also run 110 octane fuel and I haven't had any problems yet...The bottom end is stock, stock cam and stock fuel rails and lines. My best time so far has been 11.9s:eek: I think the key to running the nitrous blower combo is high octane, no detination, good set of head gaskets and try to keep it under a 75 shot.:D
