Back in the 70s I rode a lot of 250s. Mostly Yamaha and CZ. Suzuki had a nice one also. But that CZ was the ultimate.

I got a new toy in January, it's a ton of fun. I've already gone over the bars once and back-flipped the bike once but it's still too much fun to stop lol.

I just got my new headlight installed (flipped it on it's side to avoid crushing myself when I backflipped it, broke off that headlight) so now it's ready to go get broken again hehehe.

I hope the weather mellows out soon, didn't get to go this weekend. :(

How much does one of the Raptors run price wise? New and used? There were some guys on 4 wheelers at the track one night and I think there were a couple of those Raptors runnin'.

Too much hehe. Cost me about $6k for mine brand new. I had a Warrior, 350cc 4 stroke, but it wasn't as "usable" in my opinion. I think a lot of that was my learning curve, but the gearing seemed unfriendly to low speed playing (1 and 2 too sharp, 3rd too long).

The Raptor on the other hand, even though only a 5 speed (the Warrior was a 6 speed), seems much more usable. Even in low speed trail crawling (of which I do a lot of, though it isn't my favorite) it's much more predictable and "friendly" than the Warrior. It is definately fast, and has no problems at all pulling air under the front wheels in 2nd.

The most fun I've had to date was 2 weekends ago at a place called Shilo Ridge in east TX (sort've near Tyler). They have one section with a huge sand hill, not very steep but pretty long. Roaring up that thing in 2nd gear winding it out throwing 20' roosts was AWESOME. I love my Raptor hehe.

Oh, and as far as seeing them... everywhere I go I see tons of them. For the most expensive excessive bike it sure is a popular choice. ;)

man, y'all are makin me wish i still had my toys...

my favorite bike for the jumps was a 93 CR125. yea, i know, it was a 125, but man was that thing fun in the air!

my favorite screamer was an 87 Suzuki Quadzilla bored out to a 532cc. this thing used to give the Banshees nightmares...i got clocked by a Colorado state trooper doing 92 mph on that dam thing (long story) :D

all that came to a screaching halt after severing the ring finger on my right hand. after 4 hours of surgery and 6 months of therapy, im in no hurry to get out there and rip anything else off
