New Toy

Notice something new on the bottom of my signature? :D

Im the proud new owner of a 70 Dodge Charger 440. She is very straight and the engine is newly rebuilt. She's a beatiful hot rod. I plan on restoring her to be a General Lee replica. It has been a life long dream. I am very excited!!!:D I will post some pics in the next few days. :tu:

Sure did!!! Had a single 3pt roll bar with a cross over. Just as seen in the picture. That is the real mccoy in the picture! There were 229 Chargers used in the show and only 19 survived. I want to own one of the origionals in the next few years, but they cost about the same as a brand new Z06.

The only living General Lee I know of is in South Dakota. I saw it on the way to Sturgis a couple years ago. The guy has that and a few others in a climate controlled building, but he's got a hundred other collector Shelbys, Chryslers (including a Super Bird), Camaros, AMCs, etc in a bunch of gravel floor barns with those warehouse doorway flaps at the ends. Makes me sick seeing a GT500 in pristine condition sitting in a gravel barn with the windows down and the hood up.

I ran across one in Branson Missouri. It was at a place that had old movie props that you could look at. And the car was in good shape it just looked like it needed a new paint job. I got pictures of it some place. :tu:
