I've been getting a few requests for cylinder head other work on a couple of Gen 2 trucks from some racers in the Houston area. Not having been exposed to the Lightnings I figured this was the best place to start!
First: Rumors are circulating about an aftermarket supercharger for the Gen 2 engines........true/false? If true......does anyone have the info on this unit?
Second: What is the vertical distance from the crankshaft centerline to the top of the inlet above the supercharger on the Gen 2 engine?
Third: Has anyone done any testing on ported heads and manifolds on the Gen 2? I know all about that garbage in MM&FF concerning their ill-fated attempt with ported heads. I'm curious though. With the gains I'm getting on my ported heads on the '99 & up GT Mustangs, I'm wondering if there is something that can be done for the 5.4 blower engines. Certainly they would benefit from larger valves and an improved exhaust port. Being a dealer for ProPower and the new ModMax line, I'd be interested in hearing from you Lightning owners.
Let me know and thanks for any help and info!!!!
Great board!
