Just got off the phone with my artner and was telling him about the new suspension that I thought of for drag racing.and since I don't I ran the idea past him[he has a super comp license].He said that it should work and we both figure that the 60 foot times you are getting now on slicks you could almost get on f1s that is within a few hundredths.Totally street able and can be installed in a day.
If i decide to go thru with this little project I will fly him down to the Houston event and will will see how well it works.
Will beat the ---- out of the 4 link and way more tunable to conditions and tire selecton. Is designed for the pickups, were the 4 link is more toward the cars.Stan:D

No leafs gets converted over to coil overs. Can retain sway bar,and can actually help handling.Just not as good as the 4 link.but is designed for the trucks because of lack of rear weight.Stan

Maybee something like a set of JDM/Rancho bars along with a panhard bar. Then get rid of the leaf spring and replace with a coil spring.

Well thats my guess

Or maybee a torsion bar set up

Should be able to withstand over 700 rwhp and more torque than that. Will all depend on 1 part that will be able to change at the track and can carry 2 to 3 of them in your hand.Cost of that 1 tuning part is about 35 buck each.Do I have a one wondering?stan

PS this is just an idea right now as you know I don't drag race and my time gets consumed in the road racing end so IT will take a while to finish this into a working unit. But there are varations out there now and from what I have seen they do work,so my varation should too.And it is NOT a 4 bar!!!

PPPPPLLLLLLEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAASSSSSSSEEEEEEE get it done as soon as you can. You have me thinking so hard about it I can't imagine what it may be exactly. How much weight are you expecting to drop and a figure on the price? If you tell me a release date I may just hold off on spending any more money on my suspention. www.JBlackwell69@aol.com
Heck I will make a 5 hour drive up to you and help you out if I can.
BTW, My buddy gave me an idea of going back to a 8.8 rear end on my '00. I believe it is 85-100 lbs. lighter, more variety of gear ratios (3.73, 3.90, 4.10, 4.30, etc) and cheaper 15" wheels because of the bolt pattern.;) The aftermatket diffs are more affordable also.

No it is not an adjustable pinion snubber. But I like the idea might have to looking that!As for a release date that will be dependent on how much regular work I have[I have this nasty habit of wanting to eat],and how motived I get on the project.
I to thought about the 8.8 for the rear. But this kit will work with either as the tube size is the same. But don't save your money just yet like I said, rite now it is not my priortiy.Stan
I will say this I will sell the idea to a tuner for a % of the sale on each unit.Like I said I have all the pieces now just need to work out the lenghts and mountings.
