Been reading the forums for enough time to know I want a 02 Lightning!!!

So, any one in the So. Cal. area have a great place to shop for one?

Any "bad Dealers" to stay away from?

Have a car coming off lease in July/Aug.

Will that be a problem???

Here is my recommendation...

Go to the SVT site and do a dealer search from your zip code. It will give you the nearest 20 dealers. Type out an e-mail message describing what you are looking for and tell them you want it under the x-plan. Ask them the x-plan price and the price out the door. Copy the message and individually send it to all 20 SVT dealers.

Some will sell under the x-plan and some won't. That's how I got the best deal on my 01 L.

Speedy, how's it going?

I'm sure George(AlphaDoggy) will tell you about a great dealer out in Ventura Barber Ford, not sure about X-plan, but they have always been fair, and sold their vehicles at MSRP.

I got mine from Metro Ford(now Sunrise Ford) in Hollywood. Got it for $500 less than MSRP.

Galpin is a pretty good dealership, but beware, they know their #1 in Ford's eyes, and wouldn't hesitate to turn their back on a customer. But as for service staff, they are #1 in my book. Awesome service people to work with!!

I also noticed Simi Valley Ford had a few 02's on the lot not too long ago. I believe there is a Black one on the showroom floor. I personally never have delt with them, so I couldn't comment.

Above info is good also, try getting X-plan, it's hard to find a dealer to do it out here, but it's possible. I think there was a dealer in S.D. that did a few X-plans. Good luck, these are awesome trucks.
