I can't belive Ford is actually going to do it!!!!

NOW that need to make the regular 32V engine as an option for the GT!!!!!

I guess the Lightning must take a back seat to the Cobra for a while!:D

I thought GM stuck a fork in themselves.;)

Ford is goofy sometimes.

We complain since 1993 that we aren't on par with a 6 speed LT-1 (on paper anyway). LS-1 comes out and were really not hanging. Then after almost 9 years we see the F-body get axed and Ford finally gives us a 6-speed and some real torque, WHY NOW? Corvettes?????

Two different classes of cars I thought.

Not complaining, just not understanding.

I'm in LOVE!!!!!!!

I want one BAD!!!!!! Time to go knock off a bank.

How much are they for a coupe?

I'll believe it when I see one on the SVT dealers floor

I am THRILLED that Ford is FINALLY doing this, but like mentioned before, why now? I'm sure Chevy won't kill their only affordable performance car (something will take the F-body's place).

But, I'll believe it when I see it.

I wonder what the towing capacity is? Maybe I'll trade the F-250 in on one, nah, I would have to put the gooseneck hitch in the trunk, and I would have to give up that diesel sound, no thanks.

I wonder if Ford wants now to cash in the would be LS1 Camaro buyers! Makes sense good marketing stradegy, Gm axes LS1 Camaro in Sept 2002 just in time for the new Cobra, Hmmmmmm!

It's awesome and I want on but damn what the heck took ford so long?? Now there doing away with the F-bodys ford decides to get off there asses and make a stang to run um?

35 Grand base price they can kiss my white butt!!!!!!!!! Thats what is happing to the pony cars.Putting them out of reach of most people.Thats why we have all these neons and civics out here now most people can afford them.
Muscle cars used to be cheap to own but not anymore and thats why they are dying and imports are selling.

To own one would only set you back $700 a month.

That's WHEN you can get one and that smoken deal that the salesman won't give you.

Still a bitchin car and for Ford, they will sell them all. Imagine how pissed some 2001 Cobra R owners are (who paid over $50K)

If $35k is the vert price, then the coupe should be $31k as they (whether Cobra or GT) are almost exactly $4k less. That makes it just $2k more than an '01 which seems unlikely. Hmm...

If $35k is for the coupe, I think it will be a hard sell even with the 6-speed tranny, 3.55 rear gear, and 9" wide wheels.

Blower belt cover looks like crap.

Now if you can get one for say 30K that would kick butt.Love the car but..

I would love to have one, just imagine if that S/C sounds like the G2 S/C it would be awesome to hear that car coming down the track!

OK,maybe I'm just an old man who needs to catch up with the times but cars are too expensive.I made an offer on a new Taurus last month($22,500 sticker) at $19,000 out the door. The dealer finally got down to $19,632 plus tax and title----I walked out. They want to sell them more than I want to buy them so I can wait.$19,000 is a lot of money and I,m not walking yet.I just think $30,000 plus is a lot of money and there are f-150 pickups on the lots for those prices.

That engine looks Sweet!! Finally some competition... and a 6-speed, only took Ford 9 years:)
:D

Hope SVT lives up to that (EST) after the HP #`s... especially after the last Cobra fiasco.

If they really do make that car with 390 flywheels TQ that should be one badass tire roasting maschine!!
