Well, last night I got my first blower install! It feels awesome to drive a blown Lightning! I picked it up last night from my buddy's speed shop and I am totally impressed with the results.

I only have the 6 lb. pulley on it right now but I will soon upgrade to the 9 lb. one. We bumped the timing from 14 to 10 deg. but it was detonating so we bumped it down some more (I think to 8 or 9 deg.)

Anyway, I let my other buddy Ronnie drive it last night and he couldn't believe how great it ran and how fast it was for a truck. I just sat there and smiled proudly.

Thanks for your suggestions and unselfish knowledge sharing everyone.

Also thanks Keith B. !!!!!

If you get a bigger lower pulley instead of changing the upper you will have less belt slip and won't void the warranty :D

I agree with GJLS,..............put a on bigger crank pulley and keep the warranty!

Glad your enjoying it!

Good doing business with you!

Did you put colder plugs in it (ngk tr6)when I put my powerdyne on I just had stock plugs in and could only run 7 deg of timing when I put the colder plugs in I could run 11 with no boost retard. Have fun! I liked my dyne but the vortech is so nice.

Justin, I have brand new Motorcraft plugs in it right now. Maybe I'll try the NGK ones and see what will happen. Thanx.

what kind of pully is everyone using for the crank pully? anyone have a part # or pricing on it? I was thinking of putting the 9 psi pully on my BD11 soon, but if everyone thinks its better to do a crank pully maybe I'll do that.
