Yesterday, I was at Famous Daves for dinner, and when I fired up my truck to leave, it started, then immediately stumbled and died. I then restarted it, and it ran fine. Now every once in a while it does the same thing, it did it twice more today. Once when I started it up this morning, and one after class about three hours later. If you give it a little gas, it keeps going fine. The only thing I've done in the last month or so was change the oil on saturday, but that was uneventful, and right at 3000 miles as usual. It seems as though it's a fuel problem, I upgraded the ignition components and did a tuneup in december and it has run fine until this. Thanks.

I would go for a new Idle air bypass valve. My did this when I got the truck. It would die when I was backing out of the drive way every morning. I changed it out and it never did it again. It even idled smoother. :tu:

i just changed my filter when i did my tuneup in december, i'll check the idle air bypass in the morning. thanks

I had a water temp sensor go bad and it idled real rough and stalled once in a while, start it back up and away you go. - Brian

it did it on both tanks, so i don't think it's the pumps, i'll have to check the temp sensor, i really don't want to buy a knew iab valve, i have to get a new ac compressor soon, and that will be stretching the truck budget pretty thin.
