My first ford and it's a lightning

now im sure this has been posted a billion times, but, does anyone have a link to someplace where i can decode my VIN?

I bought a lightning with front end damage wednesday. It smoked my transam, so i had to have it. heheh.

anyway, i'm looking for information resources on lightnings, both online and book type stuff.

also, what magazines do you guys suggest?

Call 1-800-FORD-SVT and they will give you the build number. They can also give you a address to send your registration to and they will send you back a build sheet

Hey stryfe, welcome to the board!
There is no better source of information than this board for Lightnings. (or info on anything for that matter). These guys here are more than helpful when it comes to any L subject from superchargers and NOS to parts and pieces. Just log in once a day and you'll get more info than you'll ever need to do whatever you'd like to do. There are also many guys here with their own links to websites which is also very useful because you could see their mods and hear their suggestions.
My first step would be to join the NLOC. $30 per year, you can't beat it.
