Will a universal type traction bar, (those available through JEGS for under $100) work OK on our Lightnings? Will they affect the handling of the truck in turns, will the cal tracs or ranchos affect the handling? I am having trouble swallowing the price of the cal tracs and ranchos, (for what they are)! Any ideas and info is much appreciated.:w

'Generic' parts usually don't work when applied to Ls--whether it's an air filter kit or a suspension add-on.
The Caltracs and JDM traction bars are 'specific' to our Ls and they work. Some guys like one or the other for various reasons. I use the Truck-Traks on my 01 and they help me hook up but don't interfere with 'normal' driving. PSP carries the Caltracs and the Truck-Traks.

The Ranchos are not " what they seem". I spent a lot of time and money into making the generic Rancho torque arm kits specific to the Gen2's. That's why the difference in price between what I offer the kit for the Gen1's and gen2's.

I have the JDM/Ranch bars and I love them. I am sure Maks are great too
