more JDM mods..

This weekend I had the JDM fan kit, Cobra waterpump, thermostat and flip-chip installed. Chris@Performance Motorsports here in Austin did the work. Chris is the guy that built my 9 sec Supra and works on alot of Corvettes, Vipers ect. He is a ex-stereo installer, so his attention to detail is unreal. He was very impressed with all of the parts I've gotten from JDM, intake, long tubes and high-flo cats . He installs many aftermarket items in various cars, but nothing ever fits without modifications. Everything went on without a problem and the instructions were perfect, no guess work. The truck runs great!

hey SW.. i talked to my buddy hank again this weekend at the dyno in shreveport.. he said to tell you hello.
i told him you didnt remember him, and he told me to tell you that he was the guy that owned the black 2000 lightning. (it had yellow leather inserts) you took him for a ride in the supra.

i'll post a pic of him on the dyno with his 2001 Z06 if i remember. :)

Nice Vipers

Have you ever considered running the Viper Challenge. My neighbor has a few Vipers and he runs most of the races on the east coast. oh yeah, your Lightning is hot too.

I ran the Viper Challenge a few years ago. I want to get back into it again, thats why I picked up the blue one. It already has a cage and a built motor.

Clonetek, I remeber him now, tell him I said hello too.

I own a high-end car dealership (18 yrs), and love cars. If I had more money, I would have more cars...:D

StreetKing-Hell, if I had more money, Id be tryin' to talk you out of that supra!!LOL! Awesome cars.
What does a stock Viper turn in the 1/4 anyways? Ran a guy in a silver GTS (he bought it in dallas from some guy that owned some pizza shops, you may know him) from a 60 roll and I had him by a car length to 130 when we backed out of 'em! He was more shocked than I was, said that was the fastest Ford anything he had ever seen! :D Now Im sure if we had kept going, he would have passed me, I just thought the Vipers were wicked fast.

do you have the fastest supra? because i didnt even know that there was a supra in the 9's. the fastest one i knew of was in the mid 10's... guess it just goes to show what i know...

Skank Dog, most stock GTS' turn 12.30-12.50@116-118 depending on driver and track. You definately have a fast L.:)

Smokeshow, there are several Supra's in the nines, most are automatics and a couple oof sisx-speeds. Mine is the only total street car and I have the highest mph. I launch easy so I won't break.

SW,
I am glad to see you are sticking with JDM, he will take great care of you, he has by me. Do me a favor let me know when you are not going to be home for a week or so and leave your garage unlocked and the keys in all of you toys, it would be a great weeks vacation driving all your sweet vehicles.

Streetking,

Couple of questions if I may.

What are the 99 FRC's listed in your signature?

And secondly what is the ceiling height in your garage (looks like 16 - 20 ft)?

I ask about the garage part because 2 years ago I had a house built and thought I went a little crazy with the garage at 780 sqft and 11ft high ceilings. Fast forward a few years and if I had gone higher I could have installed a lift and I would have taken the builders suggestion of extending the garage 4 extra feet (150 sqft extra @ $5000 just seemed like too much at the time). Oh well have the next house planned in my mind and have thought about going forward with it, hmmm.

FlashSVT is correct.:)

The ceiling is 12ft. I do have a two post lift. It works great for low sportcars, but you would have to go higher for the Lightning.

That garage is sweet!!!
Big Lift, DSS, Sink, Fridge, Plenty of work space & cabinets. Just need a 1/21 scale Bburago Black Lightning out there with your other 1/18th's :tu: I've been looking for one, only finding red & silver.:p

SW,
No I don't have a web site, I use to have a Zing Album with a lot of pictures on it but the shut down. Did you get the pictures that I e-mailed you back a while ago? If so I can e-mail you some more, I also have a few video's of it with the 22's in the 1/4 mile with the best being a 12.0 that I could send you.

In the next couple months I will be in Austin for a wek or so. Attending a course in Distributed Process Control. Sure would enjoy a first hand look at that stable....
