We would like to invite any interested Lightning owners to two track events the SVT Cobra Mustang Club (SCMC) is having this year.

The first is going to be held at Gingermann Raceway in South Haven Mich. June 8-9, 2002. You can register for one day or two days, whichever you prefer.

The next event is at the brand new 2+ mile course at Mid America Motorplex in Council Bluff, Ia on Oct. 26-27, 2002. Again, you can register for one or two days.

It would be great to see some Lightnings show up and enjoy the weekend with us. For more info go to www.svtcobraclub.com and scroll down the right side of the page. You will find all the info there. If you have any questions, my email is: www.grothimp@cannon.net

Thanks, Brian Groth

Hi Brian. FYI...You might want to send a couple of emails to the Officers fo the Kansas City SVTOA for the Iowa event. KC isn't too far from there...

Boris Peharda: bpeharda@kc.rr.com (prez)
Jeff Lancia: Stanger58@aol.com (activities director).

Thanks Roger,
Jeff is going to be putting the instrutors together for both events, so hopefully word will get out that way also.
I just wanted to invite you guys directly to come out and join us. It would be great to see all SVT's there besides Cobra's.

Hi Brian. Sounds interesting. Here locally the L's are mostly dragracing orientated. There are 2 of us currently (both Gen 2's) who Auto-X on a regular basis, but there 0 that opentrack on a regular basis (or even irregular) that I am aware of.

Now that our local SVTOA chapter has been formed that could change.

BTW, attended a Crash, Fire & Rescue school at Heartland Park yesterday--had about 20 folks from Mid-American Motorplex make the drive for the training. Things were kind of hectic (and COLD), so I didn't get a chance to chat with any of them. If their enthusiasm <sp?> was any indicator, they'll be rarin' to go by opening day.
