LOL...Raymond, I need your help bad!!!

I have been doing a lower intake swap for a ported gt 40 intake and the truck's computer has been out and hooked up to my home PC as I tried to get the EEC tuner running. I have the tuner installed in the truck's computer. I have the truck's computer hooked up to the home PC. I only had a USB port in the back so I needed a USB to serial port connecter which I finally found.

Now, I have the EEC tuner software downloaded & the GUI software downloaded. I also have the starter file and the two other files you E mailed me. I need to know (in regular English) where to go from here. How do I start using the EEC tuner? Do i use the eec tuner program the truck, or the GUI program? And how do i get it all started.??

You may have answered some of this on the old NLOC forum, but I cannot find it on this new board..sorry If i'm being redundant.

Also pay close attention to anything weird happening, I've got one other guy with a C3P3 that's acting up with the 5.2/3 boards. Let me know if you have any hiccups !

Ray: Yes thanks . I read through it three times , and now feel almost comfortable with it. I will try it out later today and hopefully get it to work.

One question: You sent me the file that had all the changes I wanted i.e. removed speed limiter, changed shift points etc..
How do I get that file to download into my truck's computer?
How can I select it from my computer to the GUI program?

OK after you've loaded the .dat file like it says above start the GUI and go to File--->Open then choose the file I sent you. It will load up all the goodies, everything I changed will have an X in the box to the left of the name.

Found this while hunting around in the search area... Could this apply to me? I do have a c3p3 but I dont know which version of the eec-tuner CJ had in here.

Yup C3P2's must have the 5.1 firmware, something in there doesn't like data logging
