I think Ford will definitely build it as advertised, but that price level is going to put it out of the typical "Mustang Guy's" price range. It will be in a year or so, when they get traded in, that we'll see some modded ones show up at the track. For now, it's going to be Corvette mentality drivers (most of them anyway, no offense to the Corvette owners who actually enjoy driving their high performance machine) who will buy them and drive them on the weekend and not race them. I really don't care for the styling of the '99 or '01 Cobras, but I will hold off until I see an '03 in person to settle on an opinion. Lot's of good upgrades though, and it is sad that they waited this long to engineer all the changes Mustang owners had been asking for for years.
More power! Bigger wheels/tires! A six-speed!
Think about one of these things, lowered, cold-air intake, chip, pulley, and 4.30s! Now that is a screamer!! IRS obliteration is all I have to say. Bottom line is they need to give it a live-axle rear and ditch the IRS (or go to a HD IRS like the vette has with drive-shaft size half-shafts).
