Hey guys... If you don't mind, I'd like to pick your brains a little for a project I'm working on. I'm developing some garage banners that will probably be available at the SVT 20th Anniversary meet at MIR. Two would concern Gen1 Lightning owners.
I designed a custom banner for one of our New England Lightning & Harley owners, Dave Smith [2TONHOG]. Having a Gen2 myself, it was pretty easy to come up with some ideas, but seeing as it was HD specific, Derek [SonicHD] gave me some better direction. Here's a picture of Dave's Banner:
So the concept is a "Punch List" Gen1 Banner and I don't have the foggiest notion of what a good list of mods would be for a Gen1 other than a few obvious ones... like Long Bars, CAI, Tune, Headers. So if anyone wants to make some suggestions I'm all ears.
I'm also working on a "generic" Gen1 Banner which will feature six (6) images of only Gen1 trucks, three will be the best track shots of each color (red, white, & black). The second group will be "street" shots... kinda beauty shots if you will. Here's what it looks like so far:
I've got six nice shots but if someone has a better (very subjective LOL) one they can PM me and I'll take a look. A few Gen1 guys have commented that they like the "purity" of the "race" trucks in basic colors versus the newer, flashier, painted/wrapped looks and the owners were nice enough to dig up these shots for me. If you have a great shot, hopefully you have an original high-resolution digital image from a Point and Shoot or Digital SLR camera. You would have to probably zip that large file and email it to me and if we get there, I'll give you my email via PM. If you're submitting a picture, you're acknowledging that I'm free to use said picture. Can't offer you anything but potential fame as I'm not really making any money on this project, just ask my wife LOL.
If any of the mods have a problem with this thread, you can remove it or remove the pictures. I will understand. I'm just looking for some help here, so I hope you guys can contribute.
