LITEON computer drives

Trying to put a new computer together.

I just ordered a 120g Western Digital 7200 rpm HD and the audigy gamer soundcard.

I was wondering if anyone uses the LITEON cd burners or not. They have a 32x for 165.

What do you guys think about that case?

May order the case, and drives tonight.

Then I need my motherboard combo, speakers, ethernet card, graphics, and thats about it I think. Oh new keyboard.

I am going to keep my mouse and monitor, scanner, and printer that I have they are decent.

i have a liteon works very well,also went with a K7266 pro2 moather board with raid support and usb 2,check out pricewatch to find all the stuff you need

also i dont like that case, you can do better for about half the price all that crap on there is just for show any decent bios will moniter cpu speed and temp and actually shut down the pc if there is a problem,if it were my money i would buy a regular case that supported the motherboard and cpu that i wanted then spend the money on either a better cpu or on my truck hope this helps http://www.pricewatch.com/

I like the case And Liteon makes very good quality burners, you should be happy with it.

I want the case to look good also.

Not sure about all the BIOS stuff and whatnot. I am going to have my sister walk me through the setup process likely.

The motherboard I am looking at is the ASUS A7V266-E

512mb of PC2100
XP1800-2000
And then it will have a CPU cooler on it as well.

Graphics will be a 128mb card

I have been crusing through pricewatch checking out all kinds of online places and whatnot...ended up getting my 120 gig HD and audigy gamer for about 293, should be in sometime next week I would think.

Thanks for the input on the burner, looks like i will go with thayt since its a 32x on priced well at 165, or so I think?

I use a LITE ON DVD and CD-RW and both work great.

Kind've a weird case, but I won't boo-hoo it hehe. I bought a huge tower just because it had cooling fans and quick-release drive bays.

How about the Sony burners and Afreey cd drives?

I found the sony 32x burner for 100 bucks.


Anyone know if CodegenR power sources are any good?

What cards should I look at for my cable modem to hook up to?

P.s. 1800-2000 XP CPU much difference? 100 difference from the 1800-2000 so not sure its worth it or not.
