Lightning stalls out???

Hey everyone, I am parting stuff out on my truck so I just converted the truck back to Speed density and it runs good besides when I am slowing down. The truck will be costing to a stop light (no gas and no brake applied...just costing) and the truck will just shut off...I just put it in Neutral and start it back up and it runs ok again. Untill I start to slow down. (not everytime, but every few stop lights). I have canfield heads on the truck and no smog equip. could this be doing it. Last time the truck had SD it was close to stock. I have the EGR valve on but not hooked up. If anyone can think of anything please let me know. Thanks Craig

Had that happen to me in another vehicle of mine and it was the torque converter not unlocking.

that makes since....I can't remember if I feel it unlocking or not...I have a built level 10 trans and you can really feal when it locks and unlocks. I think sometimes I can catch it before it stalls and give it a little gas and it fumbles back to life....thats a good thought I will look in to it....Thanks Craig

Where Y'at Craig, How's your L idling? Is it low or eratic? Since your putting all the old stuff back on did you check the TPS voltage? And have you cleaned the Idle bypass valve? You said you have the EGR on but not hooked up. You got it pluged up, right. A vac leak might be at fault too.
So where are you going for Mardi Gras?

It idles pretty good....it might move up or down 100 rpms or so...I will check the tps...that could be it but im leaning towards a vac. leak. Thanks Abby for the suggestions....If i can get out of studing for a while we have a hotel room in the french quarter for MG. Thanks Craig
