Lightning Rod F-150

Gen 3 Lighning?

Looks like it may be the next iteration of the F-150. However, like the new Ram, it's going to take some "getting-used-to".

I definately like the new wheels though.....

I don't think the lightning rod had any bearing whatsoever on ford's future trucks. And except for the clean bed design, i'd much rather just have a plain old gen2 for looks.

Yeah, whatever. I'll take two. Also, check out that orange car with the white racing stripes . It's a raced-out ZX-2! That thing looks friggin' rowdy. Put that pony in my stable, Santa Claus. I'm also quite partial to those Aston Martins . Someday Kevin, someday...

Sux without the flaresides.

What, is the step-side box supposed to be lighter than the standard box? If so, I could see that for saving weight. Otherwise, I'd take functionality (box volume) over vanity (cuteness) any day.

Flaresides(GM makes stepsides) are fiberglass as opposed to metal on the stylesides. If there is a weight difference I don't know. I do know if it doesn't get into my garage it is irrelevant.

Fiberglass? Didn't realize that. Then corrosion resistance would be a plus for the "flair-" (style- or whatever) side box. All I know is those narry-ass boxes look funny, especially if a cap is put on.

Personally I really like the look of the new Rod. I've been wondering if anyone has put a flareside box on a Gen 1 L? But Im gonna have to agree... the viper chick is hotter ;)
