Level 10 PTS, hydrosystem, and torque converter

Any one on the list familiar with these parts from Level 10? I called Pat Barret at L10, and he said I would be very pleased with the converter and everything else. I FINALLY got the truck back today, and I must say I am very disappointed! Granted, listening to the "lock-up" discussion, I'm still a little confused, but I was under the assumption that the pts (performance transmission system), hydrosystem (the shift kit), and the billet torque converter would really solidify the tranny. The stall speed is about 26-2800...(according to L10) kinda high huh? The truck is stock! The 1-2 shift is very weak, but the 2-3 shift is nice, and 3-4 is nice...but not nearly what I've seen on other trucks with kits. All in all, I don't "feel" the money I spent. I will admit that the slop is gone now, but I guess I have to get used to this new set-up. Later all!

Get more HP you'll like it better...

Seriously, that torque convertor will dull the shift alittle.. Get alittle more HP and the torque convertor will make more and more of a difference...I'm sure alot of other people will chime in..

Also the shop who did it better have installed the 1/2" valve vs the 3/8" valve(street/strip vs. towing)

For a totally stock truck that's probably alittle too high, but once you start modding you'll like it more..

Mike, at part throttle the "looseness" of the converter will make the shifts feel softer. What does it feel like at WOT ?

As far as lockup goes that will feel different too, with the cam that I was running I had to make it lock up later during part throttle to keep it from lugging down.

I had the sam problem with the 1-2 shifts and not feeling like I got my moneys worth. I guess it might be because I don't have enough HP to really make the convertor work to its fullest. GJLS told me that I would'nt notice much of a difference until I get some slicks.
