Kenne Bell Questions

Never Forget .... 9/11
Excuse the wordiness of this but I have a question about Kenne Bell. Back around '92 I had a Paxton SN-92 on my Mustang. It leaked fluid and customer service sucked big time. My question with Kenne Bell involves it durability and exactly how bad is customer service? Those of you that run the Kenne Bell, how long have you owned it and how many miles are on it ? What kind of problems have you had with the unit itself ? I've got some ideas floating around in volving intercooling so the temp problems is not really a big deal right now. What exactly is the problem with customer service ? Are they just rude, does it take forever to get repairs done, do they not answer the phone. I think y'all get the point. Some feedback would be nice :tu: :h :w I dig the new smiley faces :D

My brother originally bought my truck with the blower on it from the original owner approximately 2-2.5 years ago and 43,000 miles ago when it had 26,000 miles. When my brother got the truck it detonated bad under boost, so he tried calling their tech line for help in solving the problem, but the phone was ALWAYS busy. The truck also had a Kenne-Bell switch-chip in it. Finally my brother got a fax through and they were of some help if I remember correct. In my experiences I've ordered spark plug wires from them with no problems. Then last summer I decided to switch from the chip to the eec tuner and there was going to be a down time in which I sent my chip to Raymond, so I emailed K/B to see if it would hurt anything to drive the truck without the chip in it, so I could take the chip out at home and drive the truck down to the garage. I don't remember how long it took for them to reply, but when they did they weren't any help what so ever. They didn't answer my question at all, instead they basically said why are you removing the chip and to watch out for "tuners", I think they thought I was switching to someone else's chip. The most disappointing part of their service is not being able to call anyone. On the positive side, I haven't needed to send them my blower for servicing. Jeff has some input on this I'm sure. - Brian

There product is the best it works rite off idle. Depending how many #'s your going to run you'll have the same problems as a centrifigal S/C meaning timing. So get a chip or timing retard.
Ive had mine for about three years and I love it.Only had to call K/B teck line once and I got lucky that someone answered the phone. When I went Mass Air I had a problem with the FMU they told me to get rid of it cause the M/A kit came with 30 # injectors. You'll love the instant boost.I'm thinking of putting a scoope on my truck to flow some cold air directly on the blower, the scoope should keep the blower cool. Im not sure of the fit so Im going to borrow a scope from a82 mustang gt and dry fit it, to see if it can be done and how it looks. later Alex
