hey!

ive put mine behind the pax side kick panel, near the fuel cut-off switch. its the green w/ yellow stripe wire, correct?

also, since i have only one tank, does the green w/ yellow supply both pumps? im guessing it does, and i shouldnt have any problems...?!?

Hey Mudd---I've been playing with my BAP quite a bit the last couple weeks with install and all.

First off I've been waiting to post a question regarding the point of connections---So i'll do it right here and hopefully help us both out.

My POC is in the same location as yours with unit setting behind passenger seat.

I did tie into green w/yellow strip wire to feed BAP and then ran back through inertia switch.

My question/ problem is truck will only run for a couple of minutes and then shut off, wait a couple minutes truck fires right back up---then cycles through shut off again and again. I by-passed the inertia swicth-truck runs perfect. Sooo I replaced the inertia switch with a brand new ford inertia switch---Same thing-cycling shut downs. I then by-passed it & truck runs perfect.

A thought ? Maybe I need to run through inertia switch first and then to BAP ?

Vern has his BAP installed is this location and Jeff has his under hood. Anybody else? Any thoughts ?

...sounds like thats worth a shot !?!

after further review, there are more than one grn w/ ylw wire under there. im assuming its the larger diameter one, that runs directly into the inertia switch.

try and switch yours around and lemme know if it solves your problem. then i dont hafta go hacking my stuff up quite so bad :)

Ok, I'm here. After more than a few problems getting back on the board. I'm pretty sure that I wired mine before the inertia switch, but I've never experienced the problems mentioned. But, it's been awhile and I'll have to get under there to be sure. The only problem I ran into was blowing the in-line fuse to the bap a couple times after installing a dual-pump relay kit to turn on both pumps under boost. I then went up to a 30a fuse from the 20a that kb supplied, and haven't had any problems since. I figured the 30a fuse would still blow if a short occured. Sorry I can't be more help right now.

cool Vern!

thanks for the info. if ya get a chance, im curious as to if you did in fact, wire prior to or after the switch. but if not, i can make do with what youve thrown up here...thanks again.

Mudd,
Just crawled out of bed, going to switch wiring around today-I'll let you know what happens.
Also installing ranchos today-this i'm looking forward to.

Hey Vern, I would also like to know if you wired before or after.

I realize Jeff had to have wired in before, since he tied into harness in engine bay. I think I have an independant issue-dang it!
Later
