Johnny Lightning Performance

Is Johnny Lightning Performance a legit business? Are they still in business? I ordered and paid for a set of replacement long bars from them 15 months ago, but still don't have them. The only contact I have is email, and it takes 1-4 weeks to get a reply, which is just excuse after excuse. In February I was told they shipped, but no replies when asking for a tracking #, etc.

Does anybody know of anyone over who can lend me a hand? At this point, they've stolen my $338 until I get the product I paid for.

They are legit business given their long standing with the lightning community. That being said they would never get another dollar from me for anything. Not a fan of johnny personally. Others like them. I would call them every day until you get your answer. Or cancel order and order from someone else.

If you spent much time on the gen 2 forums 10-15 years ago you would swear that there are no reputable vendors in the Lightning world. Everybody hated everybody and nobody had decent service at all. This would just be par for the course. And for every horrible experience there would be people that blamed the victim and said the vendor was awesome. You just never know what you're going to get from any of them. This is one reason my gen 2 stayed basically stock for over 20 years.

I was beyond sick of all of that garbage. Then throw LFP and JDM into the mix. Trying to manage those toddler tantrums on this forum was a full time job. And then managing them pissed off the zealots. It was pathetic.

We got see it first hand at the track rentals when it was time for each of them to grab a lane. But then there were always the excuses afterwards.

Reminds me of a certain Mustang forum. A lot of tough guys with some serious cars on the web. Went to one of their track outings and they literally got laughed off the track by the announcer. Which was totally justified as a few of them had '07 GT500s and could only pull off a 15 second quarter. I learned then and there that numbers on the net are good and all; but the real data/results come from the strip.
