I just put on the 90MAF, Air Kit&Filter. The boost guage used to read 8psi WOT, but now it is reading 11psi WOT. I dont even have a chip YET. Thanks Johnny Lightning. I am totally satisfied.

I was just curious why running a 90maf and filter kit is not good without the chip?

it makes it run leaner ,which is more prone to detonate. dont worry though ,i have a 2000 with a #2 upper and a # 2 lower and a ram air with no chip.i have never had any detonation ,even in 20 degree weather. 99-00 run a lot richer from the factory than a 01-02.

Certain tuners would like you to think that you need a reburn for every little thing that you do. I ran a 90mm MAF, air kit, 3 lb pulley and breather cap all summer without a chip. Guess what, no detonation, and live in Florida. Chips sure are nice, though.
