Jason Browns' motor PS'd into a miata

One of the guys on www.probetalk.com decided to photoshop your motor into his miata. He thought it was better suited there. To me it looks like a tight fit. haha

That looks pretty stupid in there. Considering the miat couldnt handel all that hp and torque. But he had good intentions when he made that pic. Thats wild if someone did put a motor like that in a miat.

I was just referring to $ in mods If you want a nice vehicle you have to pay Lets see my truck is worth 3x more so it must be 3x nicer I guess if my brothers dream comes true I'll have to get heads and cam At least I don't have to worry about trunk space.

I doubt any stock lightning could handle that hp and torque. What's he running? 1000? 2000? fwiw, there have been stock-block miata's running over 400whp. (1.8L motor). that's 4x stock output..granted, it had a beefed up rear end, etc.

I get bored...so I fantasize about my miata being faster than it is. Its painfully slow.

Guys its not my fault my brother is hanging with the children @ Probetalk. I would like to see him get an L or a Stang, but he can't afford the ins. or payments His probe costs $800/yr to ins.(I think) and thats just liability He checked on ins. for a '90 GT Stang and it was something like $3k/yr just liability He swears the average age/IQ over there is 16-17 He uses that forum for a select group's input on problems & performance help, believe it or not there are some knowelegeable people over there Maybe someday(when my brother graduates from college & gets a real job) he'll be able to afford a real vehicle

Yeah, it keeps getting cold and now it snowed a little more, so that sucks, but I should have a 13 second car after the 10th of mar. I'm getting a bigger turbo, exhaust, bov, rims and tires, plus my msd 6a, and 440cc injectors. The injectors are small compared to jasons' haha. Should be good for some power though. But as my bro loves to say, if I was pulling a wave runner, and he was pulling a car, he'd beat me. hahaha

There are a couple of good sources over at ProbeTalk, but I've found it's much more effective to befriend them off-the-air than to deal with the signal-to-noise ratio of making a public post.

Most of the guys there are apparently very young and very inexperienced. There's also a whole lot of "rice" mentality.

It's easy to see the appeal of the cars, though, when I can buy two complete motors for less than I paid for a good set of heads for the truck.

Darin, he's my bro, so he is 5 1/2 hours away from me while I'm at college. I'll be home over spring break, but I don't know if the roads will be nice enough to settle it yet. I go home at least once a month for guards, so there will many opportunities, if he'll line them up on the street. Of course, I'll set my gtech up, so I can post the time I get when I run him.
