Vinman,

Did you dyno both programs while the engine was cool or warmed up?? Did you just flip the chip and go?? The chips need time in the 2001 computers...just curious.. I want to get my truck dynoed with the current setup...before I add the headers/exhaust. How much did you get charged for the dyno??

I used laser thermometer at the manifold (95 degrees) with the j49.Did three pulls. Got the numbers then called JIM to see if I could switch .He said yes and just start it and shut it off at least three times. Did that and then let the truck sit for 20 minutes with a huge fan on it.Got the temp back dow to 95 at the manifold. It had gone up to 125.Then did three more pulls.Total time spent there was about an hour.Did my best to recreate the same parimeters.
I heard that driving it does not do anything.Could be wrong. Was happy with results. My goal is SAE 400/500.Almost there.
Hope this helps

Guys, I have Jim's J-69 single program chip in my truck. And it really flys! I noticed it seems really strong in the mid-range.:tu:

OH YEAH!!

I forgot . It cost $100 for three pulls with the A/F. Truck on J49 was a little rich. The guy let me dyno the J69 for free(Nice Guy).
