Injector change time

Hi Raymond,

I just got in a set of 30#ers to try for a while (currently running 19s). I know that I can change the injector size in the scalars, but I know I have to be missing something else to reset. What do I need to adjust?

Plus, what is the exact value to put in for those injectors? Something tells me that it isn't exactly 30.00. (These injectors have the red top)

Also, I am running 6-7# of Paxton on this thing, with an adjustable FPR... Other than the ported GT40s, the Xpipe, and some gasket matching on the intake, it is stock... Would these squirters be big enough to consider ditching the FMU? I'd like to eliminate it and do all of the fuel mapping electronically. Got any suggestions?

I have a feeling that this is going to end up as a sticky at the top of the list. :)

Keith, pony up for a wideband www.diy-wb.org and you can get rid of that FMU. Once the house is done I will chip in half.....or if you want to buy it outright that would be fine. I'll just borrow it later. :p

Hi Keith, actually all you need to do is set the one scalar :)

The 30's might do it. Do you have access to a wideband ? That's really the best way to check how things are going when doing away with the FMU.

I hear ya, I'm dying for an 03 Snake, but I will wait for the 5.0 Boss or whatever they are going to call it :D

Hey Raymond, does that single scalar pretty much control things like MAF Xfer does for MA cars? So you can scale the entire A/F ratio with changing that single scalar? Just wondering.

Well kinda, but not really :)

It's just the fuel delivery rate of the injector, a MAF function change would affect things like load, spark, etc. For our S/D trucks that equates more to the VE table or engine size.

You'll look at the number and say "what the hell" :) Just figure it this way, if you put a 20% larger engine in you raise that number by 20%.

Oops I don't have that in the C3P1 yet, it's not too hard to find I'll add it in the next .dat release.
