Im very proud of my truck,against a gt and a new lightning

Well i dont talk about my races with other vehicles,until now.My 93 did good.last week a guy from work bought a GT mustang,and he wanted to run me,so we did and i walked away from him pretty good.I didnt think too much of this because i was told i should be able to beat one.But tonight i ran a new Lightning,and he didnot beat me,as a matter afact i had more top end than he did.we met at a stop light and i wasnt going to run him because i just didnot know if i could give him a good run,i was wrong.he was teaseing me ,then i said ok lets go.we ran a couple of times,and it ended up that i always had just a little more then he did.We stayed close from the start,then i would slowly pull away from him.MAN I FEEL GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!I just had to tell someone ,i couldnt tell my wife,she just would not understand,you guys know what i mean.I got the mods off you guys on here that i have on my truck,so i want to thank you for the help you all gave me It was well worth the money i spent on the truck,supercharger and all.I wanted to be able to beat a new lightning ,MAN IT FEELS GOOD.THANKS

Congrats, it does feel good to beat a sports car, and a G2 L is a good bonus. I haven't run one yet but, I think I should be able to take one if its stock or very lightnly moded. Good job!

Yeah, It is nice to kill a Gen 2 with a meat grinder blower like a powerdyne. Funny thing is they can't even hear the blower and where is all that power comming from? It really screws with the the Gen 2 owners heads they come away thinking their truck is broke,lol.
Just remember a couple "gofast" mods on a Gen 2 can and will put your powerdyne powered 351 to sleep in a hurry. Do I hear intercooled Vortech? Give me a hell yeah!
BTW, I got that same warm and fuzzy last year at the track when I lined up next to a 70 Big block Chevelle with a rumpty,tumpty cam. Took him outta the hole, 60',1/8mile and across the 1/4 finish line. My son who was in the stands said the crowd was laughing their a$$e$ off, that a Ford short wide waxed a big block Chevelle. Now give me another hell ya! I guess thats my fun for the day, have to go in the garage on my day off and work on my wifes van: she has gremlins in the steering.

When me and the other guy with the Gen2 were done racing we both pulled off to the shoulder and talked a little the first thing he did ask was what is under your hood,I just smiled and said its the factory motor,and he looked kinda stuned,then i told him its supercharged.Then i started telling him about this web site,and told him there was going to be a lightning get together on the 9th,and he could get details on this web site.And i am going to try to make it on the 9th,if i dont have to work.

That was my original goal, to run as fast as a Gen2 on the motor. Now, I just wanna haul AZZ! I still get a kick out of the F-body guys when I wax 'em and they come over to look under the hood. They see the nitrous plate and think thats why they lost. Then I show them the bottle isnt in the truck. OUCH!! That hurts!!

LOL, I know who you are and I try to stay as far away as I can from you on Saturday nites at "The Lot" (although I am not out a lot) My truck will run much much better this season though. So maybe I wont be as scared.

If its not a big secret, what did you truck end up running last season? I remember seeing you at the Valley when it ran 8.00s.
