Ignition problem question

I've got an ignition problem that someone probably knows how to fix without me spending hours of time and lots of money guessing at.

I am not getting any fire from the coil to the distributor. The red wire going to the coil is hot with the key on, and so is the tan/yellow wire. When this first happened, I bought a new coil and had fire for a few cranks, then back to no fire. I've been told that the ignition control module might be bad or that the pickup coil in the distributor might be bad. I guess i'll have the module tested and see what that says, but does anyone have any other ideas or seen this before?

Thanks,
Doug

I'd get your Ignition Module (TFI Module) checked out. How about your coil wire (that goes from the coil to the distributor)? Is it still good? If it's not the wire or the module I'd change out the PIP sensor in the distributor next.
