Mike Gager

5 cans short of a 6 pack
My name is mike, i have a 94 Lightning, i live in topeka kansas, i work for an engineering firm that doesnt pay me squat and im a cheap bastard and thats why i havent bought a membership yet haha

Hey Mike, Maybe we should start a cheap bastard club,:tu: No membership dues or anything that requires work other than typing in a password. What you think?

Does the cheap bastard club consist of lightning owners whose mods include ONLY: bumped timing, spare tire/tailgate removal, holes punched in airbox?

i can't consider myself a cheep bastard 'cause i spent a whopping 12.50 on a 460 inlet tube and like 30.00 on a k&n panel. plus the free stuff. i removed the snugtop camper shell. call me daddy warbucks!:D -chris

heh come to think of it ive owned my lightning for like 7-8 months now and i havent bought a single thing for it. The ET dropped from 15.30s when i first bought it to 14.50s simply by driving the piss out of it as much as possible :tu:

HI MY NAME IS DAVID I WAS ONCE A CHEAP BASTARD
BUT I HAVE SEEN THE LIGHTNING NO NO I MEAN THE LIGHT
I'm IN FULL RECOVERY AT THIS POINT I THINK I WILL MAKE IT.
I SENT JERRY MY CHECK LAST WEEK .

I wasn't cheap but when I came here, the torch was changeing hands and stuff(plus I didn't know were to send the check). Now that everything is stable I'm cheap. I can't afford the paper to write a check. If I fill my truck up with gas, it means I'm eating light that day(leftovers too). Everythings cool though, I do all my own work and whore myself out for money.

I plan on paying soon, like next week. Along with FFW top truck membership. If you all knew wear I work you'd pitch in and pay for me. :Y

Can a card carrying lightning club member join the cheap bastards club? My family can give a notorized and certified letter pertaining to my dedication at cheapness. Please let me know and give details on how to join. I'm 46 with lots of years at cheapness behind me. In fact I am a veteran of the cheapness shootout wars.
Thanks == Bobby

Just to prove my cheapness I bought the wife 5 white castle hamburgers(no cheese)and cut them into heart shapes for VD because I ain't paying the price for them stupid flowers.

That is the funniest cheap VD present I have ever heard of, also nice to hear that there is still some romance after the years. I thought I was just going to be SOL.. Well My name is Brandon and I have a '93 Red Lightning. I bought it from the original owner who just happens to be my best friends dad. Kind of funny, I actually remember the day he brought her home for the first time. Back when she was still red. She just turned 75K and I have got alot of work ahead of me as far as maintenence and repairs go. Suspension, Brakes, tune-up, bushings, radius arm. I have no excuse really for not joining, Hey can we start a "Just to damn lazy club" too. I am sure I will soon, this board has saved me alot of headaches on my truck and explained a few of the mysteries.

yet another cheap bastard......even though I am ready to drop some $$ into the L instead of the stang this time.

Hey! How about one more cheap Bastard?! lol!
I'm Miles, I'm an old motorcycle road racer guy with a Black 95 Lightning, and ready to join, I think, haha

I'm not cheep, I just gave Mark(Lightning Force) my CC #:D Now I can't afford to eat for the next month, but I will soon have nice coated headers & no cats:D

Not just a cheap bastard...

There was a post months back by Jerry when he took over the club stating the reasons why a person should be a member. I didn't fit any of the reasons, so thus I didn't renew my membership. The only thing I do is brouse this board. I made it to one ILLNESS meet a Byron last summer? I'd like to go to more events, I just don't.

I'm also an Iowa State U college student, so... I am a broke bastard. Plus, like I already stated, the only thing I use is this BB.

I was a member when Jeff was running things. NLOC #312. Two or three years? Then, the club changed hands, and nothing was really happening. Then Jerry and his wizards took over, and the NLOC is really taking off! Thanks to Jerry and everyone else that has helped turn the club around and helped it grow! I really enjoy reading about everything going on.

So, right now, the only thing I'm contributing is my knowledge to new Lightning owners who are new to this BB. I've had my '93 for over 5 years and 70,000 miles. Hopefully this is enough?

If you ever do see me at a NLOC event though, hit me up for a membership. I'm sure I just spent more money on gas driving there.
