i need a ram air setup

I cut a hole in the bottom of the factory airbox & fender liner about 4 1/2" in diameter. I went to Home Depot speed shop :D and got a 4" aluminum drier tube and ran it from the drivers side fog light to the bottom of the airbox. It didn't do much in the 1/8 mile but 1/4 mile it was worth 0.3 sec and 1.5 mph. It also let me up the timing a bit more.

I got one for ya

I used a diesel tube and portions of the original (S) air intake tube to route cold air from the upper drivers side grill opening.

I think it gets a little ram affect @ speed. Results from that mod & pulleys 15.3 to 14.85 :D

Geez... I've been working on this one for about a year! The best way if you want to buy one is the March ram air kit for the mustang. But I can't see a gain due to there's not much pressure for the scoop. I'm currently fabing a scoop to mount behind the grill that uses 1/3 of the grill opening. My only problem is encorperating the FIPK kit.

Me Too !

I've got some ideas as well, something I've been sketching on for a couple of weeks. It would use the drivers side grill openings and incorperate the diesel tube. If I ever get this brainstorm off the ground, I'll post it.

But honestly, what I have done is cheep and in my opinion effective. I'll see if I can get some pics up this weekend.

Later, Wayne

Hey i was looking for a ram air set up and i think that Hot Rod that is on the board has a really good one. I think that it places your open air filter in front of the radiator and behind the grill of your truck. Anyway he said that he would get back to me with some pics and the parts need to do this.

Using the Cervinis kit is not as effective as using a catch behind the grill. There is no static pressure on the hood. The pressure "bubble" is in front of the grill and bumper only.

Oh yeah, and I'm currently trying to run the 460 tube with the FIPK kit.
I think Brian is going to try and figure this one out to..

THey should call it K&N HOT air in my opinion....

But I plan on makin the GT500 functional. It won't be real ram air, cuz I will not have a big purdy air box, but some will get down there, and the faster you go, the better it does. :-)
