I just dont understand people

This is a auction for a used X-pipe on ebay that went for $212. There were 23 bids on it by like 9 different people. Why is it that everyone has to be the high bidder? I was keeping a eye on it from a couple days ago and saw about a three times were three different people bid it up and it went up like $50 at a time. Why cant everyone just wait untill to the end to bid on the dam thing, you could have probably gotten it cheaper. I dont know, I would have just spent 38 more dollars and got a new one. Just my .02

"Buy a new one for that price!"It's funny how much people will pay for something thinking they're getting a good deal.

Yea,

Some people on eBay are nuts. The reason some of the auctions go up so high is because some bidders feel that they will never see that item again. Who knows maybe the person that bought it might not use it and resell it. I've seen that happen a few times.

computer hardware is as bad as performance parts. with shipping i see stuff go for well over what you can buy it new and get it shipped to you would be.

E-bay bid wars!!!

I'll tell ya! I have seen stuff go for MORE than new on E-bay. I think people get pissed when they are "out bid". And that my friends creats a bid war wich is GREAT for the seller because they can sell thier item for TOP $$$. I got caught up in a little bid fight, and Um well:m I paid $88 smakers for a 1995 Lightning dealer brochure! Oh well! I got mad that I was being out bid by the same guy over and over! Probably the seller!LOL!!:Y

You have to love Ebay, I found all the Diecasts I wanted, even one from 5 years ago. I think som of the Lightning stuff does sell pretty high though.
I found if I like an item, I say it to my favorite places, if the price is not out of control by the last two days.
I bid on it. I am sure it bugs a few people, I bought one item the last night with 2 hrs left and out bid the other guy by 12 cents.
my luck. I learned it happen to me enough.

SO that's what happened to that X-pipe, my bro called me up that morning and told me about it, but by the time I he told me and I checked it out, it was gone. Now I know I didn't miss a "really good deal"
