How good are the MAC underdrive pullies

MO351

You're getting sleepy....
I know the March 1015s have been highly recommended. I can get the MAC ones a bit cheaper. How good are they or should I just stay with the March pullies?

March 1000 or 1015's

What's the deal? I go to Summit's web page and they show a set Part # 1000 and then a set Part # 1015. All you guys say your runnig the 1015's, so what are the 1000's? They are about $4 cheaper then the 1015's. Is this just a typo or a different set all togather?

The 1000s don't have the alternator pulley and the 1015s do. Part numbers from Summit are:

mch-1000 for the 1000's

mch-1015 for the 1015's

hey adam,
doesnt the 1015 set allow normal alternator operation/charging at idle?

think i saw that somewhere. i remember seeing here earlier that 1015's were recommened because of this?

Yep, that's my understanding, too.

If you get U/D pulleys, definately get the alternator pulley. I went 3-4 months without the alternator pulley on mine, and it wasn't fun. At night, with lights/radio on, the truck would idle for about 15 minutes before the battery was drained. When you come to a stop, the amp meter will swing all the way to the left, and all your lights will dim. Once you step on the gas, they brighten back up, but had quite a few people think I was flashing them.
