Im ready to purchase a set of Rancho traction bars, but I read your reply about Ranchos service. How long will it take if I order them now to recieve them?? I need some before FFW in Orlando in March.
Also, Id like YOUR opinion on which hooks harder, the Ranchos or CalTracs.
Id appreciate your help and Ill buy either set from you. Thanks again, Rod K.

Traction

Hey Rod,

Mark here (LFP). Both Hookup great. Both help to eliminate wheel hop and wrap up. Cal-Trac links are adjustable for pre-load. A lot of opinion's as to the Cal-Tracs being a bit noisy when not under load. Ranchos being a bit to sightly extenting 50" plus. Also a clearance issue if your l is dropped.
March should not be a problem. I have an order in now (2 weeks old). I have plenty of bars in stock. hardware kits I should see sometime in Feb. I'll be calling tomorrow to get my bi-weekly update :) ( crazy stuff) Let me know what you think. I'm working on my own hardware kit to eliminate these embarrasing situation with Rancho.

When you call, be sure to let me know on the delivery date for the Ranchos. Id like to get them in the next 2 weeks so Ill have plenty of time to install them.
Do you stock the CalTracs also? As you can see, Im not completely sold on one set or the other. If you stock the CalTracs, when can you get a set to me in Orlando??
Thanks alot Mark. :D

Hey Rod, just some things too consider; the Caltracs will give you a bit harsher ride with the steel bushing. It will also require, dropping the rear and taking the springs out install the bushing, and you have to buy longer U-bolts(either a hardware store, or from Cal-tracs/Mark). Though for a stealth appearance, you can't beat them. Can't really see them unless you're looking for them.

Thanks Laurence. I didnt know there was any extras to the CalTracs installation.
I am going to go with the Ranchos.
Hey Mark, did you talk to Rancho today? When can you expect the parts from them?? And lastly, how do I go about ordering them from LFP? Thanks for your help, Rod K.

Traction Control

Hey Rod,

I hope to have my hardware kits in a couple of weeks. But I still don't know for sure. What I do have is my first run of LFP Upper Links. All polyurethane bushed for a QUIET ride. Ride characteristics unaltered. Mounts above the leafs so clearance is not an issue. Unique bolt on brackets make for a trouble free install. Eliminates wheel hop and axle wrap. Money back gurantee. Can get you out a set Mon. Let me know what you think. Speak to you soon.

Hey Mark, are these upper links to be used in conjunction with the Ranchos/CalTracs or are they a stand alone traction device? Also whats the cost for these links? Thanks alot, Rod K.

Upper links

Hey HotRod,

They work better than the Cal-Tracs. Mounting above the springs rather than below.Used instead of either Cal-Tracs or my Ranchos.Without the noise or rattle. Poly bushed. Will eliminate wheel hop, axle wrap up. Improve weight transfer. Very nice pieces. Check out the pics. in the thread listing the intro. of LFP's new upper link. I can get a set out to you tomorrow. I promise you'll be happy with them.
