HELP! didnt know my gen 1 had a cam!

just bought my first lightning good ol black 93 with 212,000 miles started it up the other day after the truck sat for about 4 hours and it wouldnt idle worth **** and sounded like it had a cam. drove it a little it kept dying but the next time i started it up the truck was fine what the hell is this it has driven normal ever since but would like to fix it b4 I get stranded was thinking maybe dist pickup but dont know thanx josh

CHECK THE PCV VALVE....I WAS HAVING THE SAME PROB AWHILE BACK AND WHEN I CHANGED THE VALVE AND FLASHED THE COMPUTER IT WENT AWAY...TRY THAT ..ITS NOT TO HARD AND IT'S CHEAP..:tu:

sounds like a vacuum leak to me...check the tree and yes, the PCV valve too. a nice vacuum leak will make the truck idle lope like you have a way to big cam in there...good luck

The Lightning has an internal combustion engine. The majority of internal combustion engines have 1,2,4 cams in them. So yes, your Lightning has a camshaft in it...
