1) what's the easiest way to do this

2) Do I need any sealant or will the gasket be enough between the x-pipe and muffler

3) does the oxygen sensor attach into the x-pipe by the hose and clamps provided

need help fast!!!! Thanks!!

one more question, what is the best way to remove stripped, rusted on nuts????:m

Thanks

i have answered #3 myself, but still need help on the others and a couple more: what does that pipe comming out of the middle of the x-pipe do? And if it connects to the smog pump do I need to attach it since I will be removing the pump soon???? Thanks.

No, you don't need to attach the smog pump line. I just took a rubber hose and a big bolt and pluged it up. The gasket should be enough to seal it off but, I put some of that copper stuff out of a spray can on the gasket. The easiest way to do this install is to is to cut the old exhaust out and the new x-pipe will fit back in without removing the cross member(if you don't have cats on the new x-pipe).

Use " P. B. Blaster " penetrating lube on those rusty old bolts!
This is the best stuff I've ever seen! Beats the hell out of WD-40!

You can pick this stuff up at most Napa Auto parts stores!

If that doesn't help,..................Just resort to the ol' smoke wrench! :D

that or Aero Kroil is also good stuff. its used extensively in the avaiation industry...as evidenced by the prefix "Aero" :)

whats up man the o2 sensor should go into a spot right on the x of the x-pipe and if you still have your smog pump i would use that blue hose and clamps that came with it to connect the smog pump to the x-pipe. if you have anymore questions dont hesitate to ask. when i changed mine it took like four hours and what a pain in the ***:tu:

well, finally got it done. finished @ 1 last night so i'm tired and sore as hell. All i know is that the saws-all came in very handy  . Thanks for the advise. now i just got to get used to the noise.

Four hours!! It did'nt take me that long and I put on the eqaul length headers at the same time. I guess mine was easier because I had exhaust leaks with the old headers all the time and I had taken them off probably ten times trying to fix the exhaust leak so, my bolts were'nt rusted and my factory x-pipe already had the cats removed, which made it easy to take out. Hope you like the new sound!

The hardest part I would think is that Goddam flange where the cat-pipe and cat-back goes...We messed with that for hours, drilling, and a bunch of other things... Next time won't take nearly as long..

Yea, those friggin' nuts on that flange were one of the worst parts. Our impact wrench couldn't get them loose so we had to do it by hand.
