should i use locking header bolts on the short tube headers i am about to buy?
if so, what size do i need, and where do i get them? jegs? summit?
also, should i reuse the stock gaskets, or what?

If you can find locking header bolts it might be hard to put on if you are talking about Bassini shortys, some of the bolts are very hard to get at.
With the long tubes we supply the bolts because are header flanges are 3/8 thick.
Heat doesn't effect it so the flanges never move and the bolts don't loosen up . Only thinner flange leak.
As for gaskets get the ford motorsport ones, they are the best out there.
