My L will be going in soon to have the heads/cam/rr/etc... installed. After it is done I want to put a chip in it to remove the speed limiter,up the rev limiter, move the W.O.T. shift points to 5,300rpms,and the other normal performance stuff minus making the tranny shift harder(have a level 10 kit). My L has Trick flow heads(box stock),crane L cam,1.7 rockers, full Bassani, level 10 shift kit, electric fans, underdrives, and other small bolt ons. I just want to max out the combo. Sooooo, who do I call?:) PSP?

Chip??? ROFL!!! AH HA HA HA! HEEE HE HE HE!! HOOO HO HO! ;)

Sorry :D

EEC-Tuner, man. EEC-Tuner. There is no substitute!

EEC Tuner all the way!

Yeah, what Jeff said! :)

With a chip you can only have one calibration for that specific processor without sending it back to the tuner for an expensive reburn.

With a 'Tuner, you can change calibrations yourself with each and every mod if you so desire... plus, if you ever change to a different processor it probably can be used with that processor too!! :)

For more information, contact Raymond_B in the Performance Specialties section of the board...

Ya I thought about the tuner but I am not to good with the PC stuff. I wouldn't be able to understand how to use a tuner and I wouldn't have the patience.  If I go with a chip from JDM they give you 3 free reburns with it. I know I wont be changing my combo 3 times. Can't afford to!LOL!!:D

EEC-Tuner!!! I can honestly say, anyone who buys a chip from now on, has got to be crazy! Raymond is truly the man! He can tune anything you'd like. Cam, heads, stroker, turbo,,, WHATEVER!! You need to go to Performance Specialties and Raymond will set you up.

I have to agree with Jerry. My $300 chip is just laying around in a box. EEC-Tunerall the way.

Mine is sitting in a box of spare parts...

If anyone needs a CalPac for a Mustang or something, let me know.

Are you guys running the eectuner with SD or are you guys all converted to MAF?

No man, most of the "L"'s are Density.
Here is my .02:
I have JMS chip. They have tuned lots of Lightning combo's and nailed mine the first time, course it was an easy Cal. The other two chip burners I've heard are good as well. If I had it all over to do it would be EEC tuner and here is why:
1)With a chip how do you know you have the best combo, nothing to compare it to.
2) The more mods you have the harder to tune your truck by mail. I've heard countless war stories about guys trying to tune the 30's through the mail only to go slower than their 19's.
3) Raymond would not let you buy a tuner and have you stumped not being able to help yourself. He has proven himself time and again to come to the aid of the needy.
4) As time goes on the tuning data base increases and known combos will be made available as well as the willing and able to help others. There you go.
BTW, when my heads go on, I'll send my chip back for a recal then see how it goes. If not well, I too may have a $300 paper-weight-----EEC tuner here we come, its inevitable sooner or later.

How much are the ecc tuners? How do they work, i was thinking about getting a chip but after reading this thread i will have to go with the ecc tuner, i just need know how they work.

Thanks again for the kind words Steve, I really do appreciate it !

If the chip falls through I guarantee that the Tuner won't be a paperweight :)
