I thought that I had read in one of your post that you were going to the track this weekend. If you did go when are you gonna post some times? I'm ready to see some good times from an Okie!! God knows they are'nt coming from truck!! Maybe some day.

Well it wasn't good the track was so slick you could here my slicks spinning to the 1/8 mile marker to a disappointing 11.88 @ 115.8 with a 1.9 60ft  and to top it off I ended up poping another head gasket  I guess I found the limits of my fuel system.

I have a areomotive red pump and i'm rounding up the rest of the parts to do a complete fuel system along with some bigger injectors

yep it was cold 43 degrees no sun on the track wind out of the northwest 20-25 jerry was the fast thing running so the track was not very good.

Check out the .500 light in video #2!!

Ditch those fargin' foil gaskets, Jerry! ;)

BTW, are you sure it's your fuel system? 42 degrees is going to push things awfully lean with that intercooler...

I'd just keep an eye on your fuel pressure...Of course I know that's pretty hard to do when you're haulin booty.. Might want to talk to Raymond again, and see if he thinks you should pull a Tad bit more timing out.. I agree though that it's probably time for a "real" fuel system..

Jerry sent me his wideband O2 readings......

It's a tad bit lean  and yes the cold air couldn't have helped.

I think Jerry has found the limits of the stock fuel system, AND 36 lb injectors.

Here's a graph of my run if you look at the wide band it goes lean at the top of every gear and pig rich down low also it looks like the injectors are at 100%

here's the wide band volts to a/f

Hey Jerry, since the injectors are 100% maybe you should just try some 42's and see if it doesn't richen up that way.

I'm just wondering, whats your fuel pressure at?? How big of an FMU are you running? With the tuner I think you could do away with it, except you might have to run alot bigger injector.. Couldn't he run 50 lb'ers and tone down the pulse width and get the injector in a more efficent area?

Just throwing crap out :)

He wasn't able to "tune" the FMU out, the engine needed too much fuel and the PCM could be programmed any lower on the WOT fuel multiplier.

With a 10ms on time right now his injectors are at 100% and he has been bumping the fuel pressure with that bad arse Cartech FMU. Upping the fuel pressure just doesn't help after a while :)

With a bigger squirter (42lb) or so he should have some more room.

I can see how you might be disappointed but, 11.88 is pretty good. Thats 4 tenths faster than you ran before and this is the first time at the track with this setup so, when you get the bugs worked out you should be in real good shape. Good job!

I don't think 42's will cut it I'm looking for some 50's and even with those I think I will still need a fmu. This novi make big power in the upper rpm's

Raymond this data logging program is awesome :D

It helps take alot of the guess work out of the tuning now I can see exactly what is going on

Your going to run into a big wall though...Once you get so big you're going to need low impedance injectors. Even with an A9L it's hard to find someone to convert to low imp. injectors since Lidio stopped doing it.. I think you'd be hard pressed to find ANYONE who can do it with a SD computer.

Raymond, what are the options as far as injector drivers when you get to this point? I'm looking at that turbo setup, and I'd really like to run something like a 72 or 83 lb injector with a VEX1 or C3P2.. Is there an auxiliary injector driver we can use? Or are we stuck?

good runs jerry! im sure theres more in it with some fuel and good traction conditions. definitely post some pics of that tuel system when its finished. im interested. thanks dude. paul

Everybody is hosed right now on low impedance injector drivers.

I can't see where the electronics would care if it were a SD or a mass air PCM. The problem is getting the conversion done.

If my 42's aren't enough I'll be talking to Kyle about those 55's. Until then we'll just have to wait and see what all of the creative minds out there can do :)

Jerry maybe you should give Kyle a shout.

Hey Kyle if your listening how much HP have you been able to make with the 55's ?

Hey I just like being able to replay those runs and pretend it was me :Y
