Friend got a '02 Ram

A good friend of mine traded in his 2000 Ranger on a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500. He got a four-door, dark grey cloth interior, power everything, 5.9L V8, and he opted for the 20" wheel/tire package. He just landed a phat job, just bought a house, and after seeing me driving a '01 Lightning, he had to upgrade his ride.

He said he paid $29,500 for it. Sound right? It does have four-doors and the wheels and tires which were a $1,600 option.

I know I am not the norm, but I really like the way the new Rams look, especially the front half. The rear half (bed) doesn't look right though. I think that Ram SRT-10 looks bad-***, 24" wheels are obnoxious, but I'm sure the production one will have either these Ram 20"s or a different design 20".

He doesn't have a digital camera to post a pic...

Uh oh, he's talking about exhaust, chip, filter, lowering kit, and a Kenne Bell twin-screw...I might have to take the plunge into a chip-n-filter-n-pulley!

Don't worry that thing could'nt beat my truck with all those mods much less a G2. I think those are the 2nd ugliest trucks ever made(Avalanche is 1st). I just hate mopars, I would own a GM before I would own a dodge, they are junk!

FordFreak, no, he wanted an extended cab or a four door. I told him he should have gotten a Lightning for that kind of money.

I agree R/T Eater, the Avalanche/Cadillac EXT are disgusting abortions (check out the latest Car and Driver article).
