I have a PUNCH 360.2 amp like new and need some juice for
the four corners,is there a way to make this amp power four speakers?

Have my punch 10"s and a lightly used 800.2,plusa400.4 power series
amps in the boxes, its to ****ing cold in the garage to put the enclosure together so ill wait a few weeks.
but till then i want that 360.2 on all four corners if it can be done.

Any info appreciated.

Fat,
No problem.Just parallel the right speaker leads front and rear and use 1 channel.Do the same for the left front and rear and you will have a 2 ohm stereo load which this amp will work great into.
Hope this helps,
Paul

Just for information, for use down the road. What amp does anyone recommend that is 5 channel (4 + 1 for the sub) that puts out decent power? I saw some Fosgate ones, but they didn't seem to put out much sub power. Thanks :)

you can get a 6 channel and use the two to power the sub(s)

It is not a good idea to cut the 8" boxes out to 10". You may not have enough volume for the 10's to work in such a small enclosure. I was able to put two 10" boxes with mephis subs behind the seat with the plastic storage tray removed. I use a 500W 2channel amp for the subs. I also run memphis tweeters in the doors and cab corners and power those with a punch 100. I still use the stock head unit and relocated the factory disc changer to under the passenger seat. No distortion here!

What I would recommend would be the Pheonix gold XS6600. It is not there top of the line series but they still sound real good. And it is 50 x 4 and 75 x 2. The 75 x 2 can be bridged down to 300 x 1. So you would effectively have 50 x 4 and 300 x 1. That's all for a list price of $730. I don't know what they are going for retail. This amp is a 2001 amp. I just checked out Pheonix gold online and it appears that they are no longer going to carry the XS series amplifiers. You can check them out at http://www.phoenixgold.com/

But if your looking for alittle more power for the surround speakers Alpine makes the MRD-F752 which is 75 x 4, and 250 x 1. The 250 x 1 is a mono channel it is not two channels bridged together. It has built in 12-db crossovers. It lists for $900, but once again I have no Idea what they go for at retail price. You can check it out here

Thanks! Those are out of my price range though, so I'll have to get two amps I suppose. But thanks again for the info!
