is a classic used car salesman, he fits the negative parts of that stereotype in every regard. You cannot believe anything he says no matter how much conviction he says it with. The members of the Local club have had a pretty good regard for Bankston Ford especially the professionalism of their service dept until recently when a significant change has taken place and it seems to coincide with the SVT Cobra club activities... That is unfortunate.
Perhaps your note about membership growth may be artificially inflated by the fact that every 2001-2002 buyer is automatically a member ??
I have paid both the local fees and the national fees and regarding the National I have not received an issue of the SVT Enthusiast Magazine in a year or so.... I will be the first one to promote SVTOA if I can feel comfortable with the value it provides however, as I stated in earlier email, since the magazine never arrives, the events have been cancelled ( or postponed ) and the web site has almost no content I have having a hard time putting together a working value proposition for the ongoing membership fees. ( Which ironically are a drop in the bucket compared to the money I spend on gas, tires and mods )

......Perhaps I am looking at this from the wrong perspective but I am comparing SVTOA to the many free sites/clubs around. Not only do many of those sites offer more content for free but they are NOT backed by an Automaker. I am probably setting my expectations too high since I paid to join and since Ford is backing the organization. I'll work on resetting my expectations
Thanks for your time
Doug
PS I guess its a good thing I don't run Banner ads on my site cause now would likely not be a good time to try to blow smoke up your skirt to get you to advertise on the site huh....
