WHOA that makes a difference. Now it wants to spin a LOT more from a stop, and it really seems to pull harder.

I had managed to get it not to ping at all at 10* with the old pulley, I thought i heard it ping once with the new pulley, so I'll be knocking the timing down a little tomorrow. Also, i could hear the belt slip, so i'll go ahead with a smaller belt too.

Anyway, for anyone with a powerdyne who hasn't swapped pulleys, you might wanna think about it. It made a definite seat of the pants difference. :tu:

BLOG, make sure that belt is real tight, if you are out of adjustment, try turning the adjuster pulley upside down.
That belt should work, no need to get a smaller one.

I know your belt will work, i just tried mine for the hell of it. Will swap it out with yours tomorrow.

Blog if you have the 2.7 blower pulley, and the 7.0 crank pulley, you will be able to beat a new lightning.I did.I have other stuff on the motor too.Chip,msd,xpipe,etc.This i would not think it would make that much difference,if you dont have these. So go out and try a new lightning, and beat it,then you will have a smile a stick of dynimite would not take off.

Grrr! I went to put on the smaller belt that sstock gave me and i could NOT get that sucker on there.

What's the proper procedure for getting it on there?

I ended up flipping over the tensioner to get the stock belt a little tighter.
