Finally!! All of the bugs worked out..

I have had alot of problems with my truck in the last few months trying to fight Detonation. Well, my truck has been slow lately and no one know's this more than Roger . Anyhow, I was convinced that it was my convertor but I lucked out. It was the chip. we hooked it up to a NGS computer and found out that there was no timing past 3200 rpm's !! Johnny overnighted me a new chip and problem solved!!!! The truck jumps from 30-95 in a blink and the truck pulls like a freight train.

Sorry, to ramble but I am happy to have the power back!! Roger, we need a rematch ...j/k

Hi Neil. Glad to hear you've ferreted out the problem! :tu: I bet you're relieved it wasn't the convertor or something else that required a teardown, because it was really obvious something was wrong. I wish you could get that bad boy back to the dyno before it warms up to see what the exhaust did <inquring minds want to know>. Maybe we can both schedule some time? I'd like to get mine back on the dyno since its been a couple of years.

Rematch? Nah. <grin> j/k. Sure, we'll get together out at the strip when it clears up--too much snow in the forecast right now. I'd like to see what happens in a 3 outta 5 average--especially since you're gonna spot me a couple right? <g>

I'm down with that, but next time I hope its nice so I can bring my truck out to KC!!! If I wouldn't have had to buy another fuel pump I would be in much better shape as well!! LOL
